Categories
Teams may compete in one of two categories:
Seafood Gumbo
Chicken & Sausage Gumbo
Wild Card (Wild Game / Other)
Entry Fee
The registration fee is $100 per team.
Awards
First, second, and third place awards will be presented in the Seafood and Non-Seafood, and Wild Card categories.
Guests will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite gumbo, and one team will receive the People’s Choice Award.

FAQs
What time can my team set up?Tent set up will be permitted Friday 10/30 from 2:00PM—5:00PM at the event location.
Teams may begin arriving and setting up at 6:00 AM on Saturday, October 31, 2026. Cooking officially begins at 6:30 AM. Cooking spaces in the horseshoe area are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is encouraged.
How much gumbo do I need to cook?Teams are encouraged to prepare at least five gallons of gumbo to ensure there is enough for judging and public tasting.
Will water and electricity be provided?
Water will be available, but teams should bring containers or hoses as needed. Electricity will not be provided, so plan accordingly if needed.
